***UPDATE! We have several openings left for riders, if you or some one you know is an OIF/OEF veteran with service connected injuries and you would like to participate, please contact us!****
For the 5th consecutive year, we will be bringing Wounded Warriors to New Hanover and Brunswick Counties. This is a three and a half day adaptive bicycling event from October 6th through 9th. On October 9th the Warrior Ride will be open to all riders! There is a 43 mile bike route, a 23 mile bike route and a 5 mile run. Registration fee is $35 or $25 for Veterans and Active Duty Military.
We hope to host approximately 24 of our heroes on this ride. Most of the cyclists will be from Fort Bragg and Camp Legeune. There will be additional warriors flown in from other areas, as our budget permits.

This event is an awesome tool to get our servicepersons out in the public for two reasons. The first allows our service members to see the appreciation and thanks that we feel for them, the second allows them to bond together with the other injured service members.
The Warrior Ride supports recreation and rehabilitation. Many of our participants have not been on a bicycle since their injuries. After conquering 30 miles of cycling every day, many are given an exhilarating sense of what they can accomplish. On this ride we furnish adaptive bicycles i.e. if you have no legs, you pedal with your arms. We even have a blind Special Forces Soldier this year that will ride on the back of a tandem. Whatever it takes to get them on a bicycle - we do it!!!
